SSEA

The SSEA was founded by Harlan B. Miller (Virginia Tech) in 1979. As Miller wrote in 1980: "The Society for the Study of Ethics and Animals has been established to provide for the exchange of information and provide arenas for discussion and debate between those interested in ethical questions concerning human treatment of nonhuman animals. The Society will not take sides, and is committed only to open discussion."

You can register for updates from the SSEA here and join the conversation here.
